Disney Holds a Special Place in my Heart...

Willkommen! This is very exciting! Our first topic! So... for the Peter Pan inside us all... Yes, I know, this is totally cliché because Disney is all over this blog already. But we all have issues with growing up, right? That's why we love Disney so much!

When I was little, Peter Pan was it for me. The aerial view of Neverland still gets me to this day. Although Michael Jackson naming his home Neverland Ranch was a bit creepy... That's besides the point. Tangents! To make my point, Neverland will always be something special to me. Disney will always have a special place in my heart. I will always be a kid at heart.

Here is my question for you: What Disney movie holds a special place in your heart and why? You can have more than one answer. God knows I do!

Also, what is your favorite ride at Disneyland? What ride do you think is underrated?

Please feel free to edit this post if you want to post any pictures for your response. Just make sure we know who wrote what. Otherwise, please discuss in the comments section.

Movie of my childhood: Beauty and the Beast
I always liked reading growing up, like Belle. I loved roses. I loved her beautiful gold gown. I was so excited when Grandma made me one for Halloween. It was absolutely beautiful!

I don't think I have a FAVORITE ride, but a ride that holds a lot of memories is Star Tours. It was a ride we went on every time we went to Disneyland when the boys and I were young. Dad took us on it, even though he gets motion sickness rather easily.

A ride I think is underrated, is Autopia. Although I don't have much appreciation for it now, I remember being little and driving, and it was always so exciting. My favorite memory with this ride is when I drove with Kari. Scott had the car in front of us, I was driving and Kari pushed the pedal for me because I was still too short. I took the turns so well (and because our car was AWESOME and FAST) that we caught up to Scott ahead of us and came pretty close to hitting his car (we may have done that anyway). Kari kept encouraging me to drive faster! Words of encouragement are music to my ears. To me, this was a great memory with you, Kari!!!

Star Tours always made me so sick! I got motion sickness real easy and I am surprised Daniel could even get on that ride without puking! haha

I love Autopia! Definitely one of my favorite rides! But now I drive for real and I kinda hate having to drive, you know? haha

I think Fantasyland in general is underrated. People think it's just for kids but it is so cool there! Casey Jr. Circus Train and Storybook Land Canal Boats are amazing because you get to see the cute, little villages and castles! I have a lot of good memories riding the train at night when there were short, if any, lines with my cousins. We always had fun <3

Oh yeah! And why isn't there a ride for Beauty and the Beast?! Or is there and I am not recalling it...?

I met a really cute dad on Casey Jr.'s one night. He was with his daughter (and his wife, but she was waiting near the exit with their other daughter). His family was from out of state. Very good company. :)

I think you're right about no ride for Beauty and the Beast. They used to have a show near Tomorrowland, but no ride. :(

Okay okay, I'm post my reply. Little Mermaid was always number one to me... although Sleeping Beauty's prince was, hands down, way cuter. Anyway, yeah Ariel was cool; pretty AND adventurous. She may have been a bit bratty, but hey, that's me too.
